Community minded
Since 2006, our group has been holding neighborhood events and fundraisers to build community and support our projects and others. We have organized plant and garage sales, a block party, a drag queen bingo event and a raffle calendar. We helped fundraise for the furniture and fixtures in our branch library. Working with the Portola Garden Tour, we helped raise money that created an endowed scholarship program at City College of San Francisco. Our neighbor and yoga instructor with over 40 years of experience, Janet Macleod, has held a Saturday virtual community yoga class since 2019. Our neighbor and jewelry designer, Jeanette Wright, is collaborating with the GNG to support fundraising with a special pendant designed by Ruben Loves Me Fine Jewelry.
Tree of Life pendant
Special collaboration with Ruben Loves Me Fine Jewelry.
$1535.00
Solid 14k yellow gold, measuring over 1.18” in width and over 1.45” in length (30mm x 36mm)
The Tree of Life, designed by Jeanette Wright of Ruben Loves Me, is a pendant in a classic style chosen as a symbol for the Goettingen Neighbors Group, as it represents growth, connection, strength and family.
Envisioned as a connection between the fertile earth to the heavens, the trunk of the tree rises into a circular pattern while five pointed kinetic leaves direct you to the boundless sky from its willowy but strong branches.
One side of the pendant is designed with a modern graphic, whilst the backside displays the designer’s Ruben Loves Me heart with the letters GNG; to be spoken as “WE LOVE GNG”.
A portion of each sale of the Tree of Life pendant will be donated towards our fundraising goal. Purchase directly from Ruben Loves Me.
Janet Macleod teaches a donation-based yoga class on Zoom. She began studying yoga in London during the late 1970's and continues to study with the Iyengar family both in the West and in India. She has been a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) since 1983.
Enroll in the class by email at least one hour before class: info@jmacleodyoga.com
